Food
I love cooking and eating healthy (read: weird to most people) foods. I am inspired by other blogs (Kath’s oatmeal, Angela’s green monsters, etc) but often just create simple dishes on the spot.
I’ve been a pescatarian since Christmas of 2009. I educated myself on factory farming and the entire food industry through Food Inc. and Michael Pollan’s books. For the record, I don’t necessarily think it is wrong for humans to eat animals, I just think they should get to live like animals first! I really should support the farmers that raise animals ethically and sustainably, but it is expensive and I am just as happy eating other foods. Meat doesn’t really appeal to me anymore. I still include fish in my diet because 1. it’s delicious 2. it has good omega 3s and 3. it makes eating out a lot easier. I’m a pretty adventurous eater so I don’t have trouble getting variety or nutrients in my diet. My favorite foods are:
sweet potatoes
greek yogurt (0% plain oikos!)
oatmeal
almond butter
brussel sprouts
spinach
black beans
hummus
dark chocolate
bud select
I could live off of (and have) the tofu veggie bowl at Crazy Bowls & Wraps and make my mom hide the m&ms so that I don’t get a stomach ache from eating the whole bag. I don’t write down a ton of recipes, but am excited to share the ones I do as well as some of my favorite go-to meals.

I love Crazy Bowls & Wraps! Ahh I miss St. Louis!
I’ve been wanting to watch Food Inc. Would you suggest it?
LOVE Dark Chocolate! 🙂

I love everything on that list. Well, IDK about the bud select? ; )
Wow, I just discovered the word “pescatarian”. I have been just that for more than 17 years without knowing it…
Thx.
